Training Project Coordinator

The British Museum is recruiting for a Training Project Coordinator to develop training programmes and courses focusing on collections management, incorporating both technical and non-technical skills. Working to the aims of the Collections Care Strategy, this role works to ensure that core Museum activities and aims are successfully delivered.
The post-holder will primarily be responsible for completing development and implementing object handling, hazards, packing, and collections awareness training, in consultation with collections management, conservation, and other colleagues. You will also be required to produce training materials, coordinate and lead in-house training courses, and work with other internal and external trainers on the provision of relevant specialist training opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of collections management, project processes and health and safety. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, who can work as part of a team and use initiative. As a self-motivator, you will be able to plan and prioritise effectively, whilst maintaining a consistent and professional approach.
